Why am I submitting this? I have no idea.
Drew this in Wii U's Miiverse. Got an idea today to cross Pokémon with the 1989 comedy movie Weekend at Bernie's. Only, this time we have the Pokémon, Burmy (
), replacing Bernie Lomax as the title character. Sudowoodo(
) is Richard Parker and Slowbro(
) is Larry Wilson. You know me and how I love crossovers and name puns; this is precisely how Weekend at Burmy's was conceived. :b
They should totally make an anime spinoff episode with the same name revolving around the idea of the movie, only with a plot twist: That Burmy is actually ALIVE and not dead because as we all know no one ever dies in Pokémon.

It was pretty fun drawing these three and deciding which Pokémon would fill the roles of the two goofball friend characters from the movie that come over to their boss Bernie's beach house for the weekend, only to find him dead and try to pass him off as being alive during their stay in front of the public. Burmy was already a given because of the name resemblance, Slowbro seemed like a natural fit for the "dumber" of the two friends, and Sudowoodo seems a bit smarter and is tall and lanky like Jonathan Silverman who plays the character.
"He could have been the perfect host...except for one small thing: He's dead. ...Or is he?"
...Yeah, that's basically all there is to it.

I like the idea of the dumb slowbro and his less dumb sudowoodo friend. Of course anything with slowpoke and by extension slowbro, is awesome. XP
